As an Automation Engineer, you fulfill a challenging and versatile role. You are a technical jack-of-all-trades with a strong affinity for technology. You will collaborate with various departments such as production, maintenance, continuous improvement, and process engineering.

What will you do?

• Perform modifications to the existing Automation domain, initiated by the Automation team or requested by external departments such as Continuous Improvement and Process Engineering. 
• Participate in (outsourced) investment projects from an Automation perspective, including drafting specifications and assisting with validation. 
• Identify potential improvements.
• Serve as a point of contact for automation-related queries. 
• Document changes according to applicable guidelines.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses to determine the cause of malfunctions/incidents.

Who are you?

• You have a Bachelor's degree in industrial automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline. An Associate degree (+ proven experience) is negotiable.
• Experience in machine building (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience with PLC programming (IEC 61131-3, ladder logic).
• Experience with Rockwell products such as Studio5000/FTView/AssetCentre (preferred).
• Experience with industrial network protocols.
• You are a go-getter with a practical 'can-do' attitude.
• Experience with virtualization and network structures.
• Knowledge of 'good practices' in cybersecurity.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented.
• Knowledge of GAMP (preferred).
• Experience with SQL databases (preferred).
• Experience with batch control (ISA88) and ERP integration (ISA95) (preferred).
• You can express yourself well in Dutch (required) and English (required), both orally and in writing.
• You are a team player and can collaborate well.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as food/pharma (preferred).
