Our Quality Assurance team is looking for a communicative, proactive Quality Assurance Operational Engineer. As a QA Operational Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our infant nutrition products. You will review and verify operational processes, manage deviations and CAPA, and support ongoing improvement of our production environment.
What You’ll Do
Product & Process Compliance
Release of finished products, HALBS, raw materials and packaging materials after confirming all results are compliant to all pertinent food safety, regulatory, religious, and quality standards such as FSSC22000
Review batch records (Manufacturing Batch Records/Packaging Batch Records) and operational documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
Check completeness and accuracy of entries (e.g., barcodes, date/batch codes) and resolve issues with Production teams.
Safeguard that no product with known non‑conformities is released.
In‑Line & Facility-Wide Quality Verification
Participate in cross-functional daily operational meetings as Quality representative
Conduct routine facility checks to ensure compliance with cGMP, HACCP, ISO, GB and Mead Johnson standards.
Perform in-line verification such as line clearance, parameter checks, and record reviews.
Inspect and verify calibration and performance of HACCP-critical devices (e.g., magnets, sieves, check weighers, X‑ray equipment).
Deviation Management & CAPA
Identify, document, and escalate deviations according to severity.
Participate in root cause investigations and coordinate CAPA actions.
Monitor trends, compliance levels, and follow-up actions across plant areas.
Non-Conformances & Complaints
Support handling of non-conforming materials and product dispositions.
Assist in customer complaint investigations, including RCA, reporting, and CAPA verification.
Quality Reporting & Systems
Prepare and consolidate local, regional, and global quality reports.
Ensure Third Party Manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics-related processes comply with Mead Johnson standards.
Manage retention, stability samples, and materials for testing.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support
Contribute to improvement projects, taskforces, and operational excellence initiatives.
Assist in developing SOPs, validation protocols, and operational checklists.
Support cGMP and quality‑related training programs.
Who are you?
You hold a Bachelor/master’s in food science, food technology, chemical or industrial engineering.
You have 1 to 5 years of experience in Pharma & food industry, preferably in the Quality operational area or as Quality Specialist.
You have tactical and operational knowledge of the Quality Positive release systems, LIMS & SAP systems.
You have an excellent English and Dutch, both spoken and written level. You are a pro-active team player, solution oriented with a practical can-do attitude.
