Our department Engineering  is looking for a Technical Documentation & Engineering Drawing Specialist.

As a Technical Documentation & Engineering Drawing Specialist, you ensure that our infant formula manufacturing facility operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance. Your work provides the technical foundation that enables maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to perform their work effectively, while ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

What will you do?

Technical Drawing & Drafting

• Create, update, and maintain P&IDs, layouts, equipment drawings, and utility schematics using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.

• Ensure all drawings accurately reflect current plant conditions by maintaining reliable as‑built documentation.

• Translate engineering changes, maintenance activities, and capital projects into clear and up‑to‑date drawings.

• Collaborate closely with project engineers and maintenance teams to validate technical accuracy.

Technical Documentation & Document Control

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, manuals, and technical specifications.

• Ensure documentation complies with GMP, ISO, and food safety requirements.

• Manage document control systems, ensuring version control, traceability, and timely updates.

• Support engineering change control processes by aligning documentation with approved changes.

Compliance, Audits & Change Management

• Prepare and maintain documentation packages for internal and external audits.

• Support deviation handling and contribute to CAPAs related to technical documentation.

• Ensure documentation supports regulatory expectations and inspection readiness at all times.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Project Support

• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

• Support capital projects by delivering accurate and timely documentation and drawings.

• Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and design reviews to support safe and robust designs.
  

Who are you?

Education & Experience

• MBO or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field, or demonstrable technical affinity.

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a GMP‑regulated food or pharmaceutical environment (junior profiles are also welcome).

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with document control systems (e.g. SharePoint, Meridian).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and a structured, accurate way of working.

• Good organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Comfortable working both independently and in cross‑functional teams.

• Clear and effective communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.

• A proactive, quality‑minded attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
