Our Global PMO & Transformation department is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Nijmegen, Netherlands to lead complex, high-impact initiatives across the organization.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects across regions and act as a key support to the Head of PMO & GMI on transformation, portfolio optimization, and supply chain strategic topics.
The role combines strong execution ownership with exposure to broader PMO priorities, including profitability initiatives, portfolio governance, and value delivery. You will work closely with both technical and commercial senior leaders, contributing to structured decision-making and driving alignment across functions.
This position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, international environment.
What will you do?
Partnering with project initiators and sponsors, define project scope, lead feasibility assessments, and drive execution of complex initiatives.
Lead complex cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery.
Develop and manage integrated project plans, identifying interdependencies, critical paths, and key risks across functions.
Act as a central integrator across functions (R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, etc. ), ensuring alignment and driving decision-making.
Support the Head of PMO & GMI in transformation initiatives, including portfolio optimization and supply chain strategy.
Contribute to profitability and value delivery initiatives, including cost optimization, sourcing-related projects, and portfolio rationalization.
Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, driving mitigation plans and ensuring successful project delivery.
Prepare structured reports and recommendations to support decision-making on priorities, trade-offs, and resource allocation.
Ensure strong execution discipline through stage-gate governance, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
Measure and communicate results against defined success criteria, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
Support portfolio-level topics, including prioritization, integration, and alignment with business strategy.
Archive key project documentation and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement across the PMO.
Who are you?
Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or Supply Chain Management.
8+ years of experience in project or program management within pharmaceutical, consumer, or similar industries.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in international environments.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions such as Marketing, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Supply Services.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment and results across senior stakeholders.
Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, including exposure to senior management level.
Solid understanding of project and portfolio management, preferably within Infant Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer industries.
Strong business acumen with exposure to operations, supply chain, or strategic topics.
Excellent command of written and spoken English; Dutch is an advantage.
Recognized Project Management accreditation is desirable.
